Zhou Yuan attended the 8th session of the CEM summit and side event activities

Summits of the 8^th Clean Energy Ministerial and the 2^nd Mission Innovation solemnly held at China National Convention Center on June 6-8, 2017.

 

The Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) was initiatively set up by the U. S. Department of energy in 2010, in order to promote global transformation of clean energy economy through policy and best practice sharing, initiative and action etc, the CEM members are China, America, the European Commission, Japan etc. The mechanism of Mission Innovation （MI）co-started by leaders and representatives of 20 countries such as China, the United States and France during the opening ceremony of the UN climate change conference in Paris in November 2015,aimed to double each government’s investments in clean energy research and development over the next five years, impelled the private and commercial sectors play a leading role in clean energy investment.

 

The conference was held at China National Convention Center in Beijing, president Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the general assembly, vice Premier Zhang Gaoli attended the opening ceremony of the 7^th.

 

 

Executive director & Secretary General Zhou Yuan was invited to attend on behalf of PGO, and took part in the side events and welcome dinner, explored the future of clean energy and the road of innovation and development with the relevant government, organization leaders, entrepreneurs from home and abroad. Meanwhile,  introduced our PGO member units of the composition and the development concept of PGO, recommended panda power station plan actively, it is hoped that this will help promote the development of clean energy worldwide, to jointly cope with global warming, has received wide interests and cooperative willingness.
